The 26-year-old is competing in his first worlds having taken silver at the Europeans last year when he lost to fellow Welshman Rob Davies.

But Davies will not be adding the world title to the Para crown he took in Rio two years ago as he went out in the last 16 of the class one competition.

The 34-year-old from Brecon took the first set against Guillermo Bustamante but the Argentinian hit back to win the next three sets.
