Nottingham Panthers have pledged to give Cardiff Devils a ‘high octane’ welcome to their Motorpoint Arena home rink on Wednesday (7.30pm).

Panthers have made it clear they are on a revenge mission after Devils fought back from two goals down to beat coach Rich Chernomaz and his team 3-2 at Ice Arena Wales.

“Panthers v Cardiff games are always high-octane,” said a Panthers spokesman. “Devils won both of their games last weekend while we slipped up (2-5 at home to Glasgow Clan).

“The coach and players have ‘had a chat’ about that and we’re expecting a reaction when the puck drops against Devils.”

This game in Nottingham will be shown live on FreeSports from 7pm.

Panthers, Sheffield Steelers and Belfast Giants are all at home this midweek. Dundee Stars visit the Fly DSA Arena in Sheffield (7.30pm), a fixture which is also on Wednesday, while Giants v Fife Flyers is at the SSE Arena on Friday (7pm).

Giants are aiming to bounce back from their double defeat against Fife last weekend, 4-2 in each game, and now the teams clash again.

Coach Omar Pacha will hope his Flyers can earn a third successive win against Belfast.

The next home fixture for Devils is against Glasgow Clan at Ice Arena Wales on Sunday (6pm).
