- Lauren Price Sends Out A Golden Warning To Her Olympic Rivals
By Gareth James
Lauren Price sent out a warning to her Olympic rivals by striking gold at the European qualifying tournament in Paris.
The 26-year-old world No 1 – who has already booked her ticket to Tokyo by reaching the semi-finals – beat Russia’s Zenfira Magomedalieva by unanimous decision in the middleweight final.
Victory completed a perfect tournament for Price who will now bid to add to her World, European Games and Commonwealth Games titles.

And it saw a return to the gold standard for Price who had taken silver and bronze in tournaments this year after returning to the ring following 13 months out of the ring.
The Bargoed fighter had beaten Ireland’s Aoife O’Rourke in the semi-finals having
previously beaten France’s Davina Michel and Ukraine’s Anastasiia Chernokolenko in earlier bouts.
