Gerwyn Price says he is ready to bring his A game to his bwin World Series of Darts quarter-final on Sunday as he aims for a 15th straight win. The 35-year-old faces Nathan Aspinall in the last eight in Salzburg in a tournament which has seen fans returning to the arena.

Price is looking to win his third tournament in a row after back-to-back victories in the PDC Autumn Series in Germany last week.

The world No 3 set-up the quarter-final clash with Aspinall after seeing off Vincent van der Voort 6-3 in his opening round match in Austria.

“I was under pressure all the way through the game but I stuck to my game and got over the winning line,” said Price, who averaged 102 during the game and sealed victory with a 14-dart leg.

“I knew I was in for a tough game but thankfully he wasn’t firing on all cylinders. I’m still playing well but I need to be on my A-game against Nathan.

Gerwyn Price did the double in the bubble with back-to-back PDC titles in Germany last week.

“It’s nice to have the crowd back, I was enjoying it and it was a bit different. It was a little bit jittery in parts but I enjoyed it.”

Aspinall crushed Darius Labanauskas 6-1 allowing his Lithuanian opponent, who was only allowed one dart at a double in the match.

“I played well and I’m into the final day,” said Aspinall. “I used the five days in Germany as preparation for this weekend and I want to do the job – my target is to win it this weekend.

But world No 1 Michael van Gerwen saw his defence of the title ended with a 6-4 loss to Glen Durrant on Saturday.
