Evan Hoyt has broken into the world’s top 300 in doubles after a staggering rise of over 100 places. The Llanelli right-hander’s reward for winning his first Challenger title in Australia is a move to 268 on the ATP doubles rankings.

Evan Hoyt has broken into the world’s top 300 in doubles after a staggering rise of over 100 places.

The Llanelli right-hander’s reward for winning his first Challenger title in Australia is a move to 268 on the ATP doubles rankings.

That is a rise of 108 places as Hoyt continued his successful adventure Down Under.

Hoyt took the Apis Canberra Tennis International title with playing partner Tung-lin Wu, of Chinese Taipei with victory over home duo Thomas Fancutt and Jeremy Beale.

The win earned him $2,325 as well as hefty rankings points.

Hoyt did lose in the singles event in Canberra in the second qualifying round to Australia’s Jayden Court.

In the latest rankings, he has slipped five places from his career high of 440 to 445 in the world.

And he is now ranked 11th in Britain, dropping one place behind Lloyd Glasspool who is one place above him at 444 in the world.
