EGH Judo Club Enjoy Medal Success In Tonyrefail Event

Over 120 judoka from all over Wales took part in the competition in Tonyrefail organised by EGH Judo of Pontypridd. There was some high-quality judo on display at the competition from both the adults and children.

Over 120 judoka from all over Wales took part in the competition in Tonyrefail organised by EGH Judo of Pontypridd.

There was some high-quality judo on display at the competition from both the adults and children.

The competition kicked off with the 8 to 12-year-olds with EGH judoka taking two gold, one silver and four bronze medals

Next up were the 12-16 age categories with EGH members winning one gold and three silver medals.

In the afternoon, it was the turn of the adults to take to the mat with EGH judoka taking two silver medals after some fiercely contested battles.

In addition to this, eight EGH judoka also travelled to Belgium to represent Wales in the Hermee Cup.

Lola Hodson took a well deserved gold medal, easily dispatching all her opponents with some classy and aggressive judo.

Rebeca Jones with bronze and Louis Burnell’s silver added to the club’s medal tally.
