Celtic won 4-3 after extra time at Ynys Park and their goals were scored by Bull (2), Chris Ham and Callum Wakeham,

Despite the defeat, Rhondda Bulldogs manager Kevin Richards was pleased with the team’s efforts and is beginning to see results of the hard work his squad are putting into training.

Josh Toomey and Charlie Loss, with a cracking shot from just outside the penalty area, scored for equalisers for Ton Pentre after they had slipped 1-0 and then 2-1 behind.

During extra time Ton looked likely winners, but Cwmbran were clinical with their finishing and took a 4-2 lead.

Tom Randall pulled one back, but Cwmbran held on to secure a place in the fourth round,

Next up for the Bulldogs is another cup encounter, this time in the JD Welsh Cup. The round two match against Panteg at Ynys Park will kick-off at 2-30pm on Saturday (November 4).

“I am completely focussed on the task ahead and am determined to bring success back to Ton Pentre.”
