Adele Nicoll is congratulated by her mum

Shot-Putter Adele Nicoll is Cardiff Met student with a big future. She narrowly missed out on a place in the Wales’ Commonwealth Games team, but the national u23 record holder and World Youth finalist has her eyes on the 2020 Olympics. Nicoll recently picked up a dominant shot put victory with 14.57m,  to win the British Universities and Colleges Sport Indoor Championships in Sheffield – adding to her impressive medal haul and finishing comfortably ahead of Sam Milner.

Nicoll recently picked up a dominant shot put victory with 14.57m,  to win the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Indoor Championships in Sheffield – adding to her impressive medal haul and finishing comfortably ahead of Sam Milner.

Here, she tells Cardiff Met TV how she got into athletics.
