Tom Rogers has become the latest addition to the Wales starting XV to face the world champions Springboks in the final game in the Vodafone Summer Series. The Scarlets back three player has been brought off the replacements bench to take the place of Alex Cuthbert. Louis Rees-Zammit has been brought into the matchday 23 to take over from Rogers.

Warren Gatland has laughed off suggestions his job is bombproof ahead of the World Cup. Williams has no plans to call time on his Wales career as he prepares for a post-World Cup stint in Japan that will sideline him from the domestic winter tournament next year.

Dewi Lake will captain a Wales team that includes Scarlets centre Joe Roberts on debut – one of 15 changes – in Saturday’s World Cup warm-up clash against England at Twickenham. Strange, really, as he has emerged from the shadows of former powerhouse Monty Ioane to become a tour de force on the Italian wing. Bruno has 10 Italian caps, five international tries and in round three of the Six Nations he made a staggering 155 metres in attack from his 15 carries against the Irish.

Warren Gatland has revealed that a threat of possible player strike action before Wales’s Six Nations game against England caused “quite a significant split” and “tension” within his squad.
