Bowen’s eight-year-old Cougar’s Gold won the Sky Bet Extra Places Handicap Chase at Doncaster when coming home one-and-a-half lengths from the top weighted Mahlermade.

And at Uttoxeter, Williams’ bottom-weighted Skewiff had three lengths to spare over the top-weighted Graceful Legend in the Momentum Recruitmant Mares’ Chase Novices Limited Handicap.

The former, owned by Einsley Harries, was ridden by Bowen’s son Sean Bowen, returned at odds of 3-1 and the latter, owned by Janet Davies, was partnered by stable jockey Adam Wedge and was a 10-1 chance.

Five-year-old Modern Warfare got home by a length from KK Lexion.

Modern Warfare was the youngest horse in a field of seven runners and went off at odds of 9-2.
