Ffos Las racecourse in West Wales have their annual Countryside jump racing day this Sunday (November 11).

The going for Sunday is soft (heavy in places) following 30mm rain on Wednesday, 6mm Thursday. 

Friday is cloudy with 10-15mm rain forecast. Heavy showers on Saturday, while Sunday is brighter.

There are seven races, the first at 12.55pm, and a range of countryside activities will be showcased including a Birds of Prey display by Janet Barber.

The Quack Pack, a wood carving display and many trade stands will one part of the day along with a parade of the Llandeilo Farmers Hunt Hounds in the parade ring between the third and fourth races.

Admission from £15 in advance.

A bus will operate from Llanelli train station to the racecourse. £1 per journey on a first come first served basis. The bus will leave the train station at 11.10am for the racecourse and return back to the station at 4.25pm.

Race Info: Gates open 10.55am; First race 12.55pm; Last race 4.10pm.

The first ever Welsh Horse Racing Awards in support of Racing Welfare will be held at Chepstow Racecourse later this month.

The evening is designed to recognise Welsh excellence in the racing industry.
