Vale of Glamorgan trainer Tim Vaughan’s band wagon keeps rolling on (writes Brian Lee).

 A 295 miles journey to Sedgefield from Aberthin paid handsome dividends when his Briac won the RaceBets Money Back 2nd All Races Handicap Chase.

Ridden by stable jockey Alan Johns, from west Wales, eight-year-old Briac made the 11-10 favourite in a field of six runners won by eight lengths from Miss Vonn.

Versatile Briac was scoring for the second time in seven days having  won a hurdle race the previous Monday at Ffos Las.

Briac won his first race over fences at Sedgefield. Confidently ridden by Alan Johns.

Fos Llas racecourse stages afternoon racing on Thursday, February 7 with six races on the card.

Tickets for this meeting are just £10 in advance and will be £15 on the day.

A bus will operate from Llanelli train station to the racecourse, £1 per journey on a first come first served basis. The bus will leave Llanelli at 11.40am and return from the racecourse at 5pm.

Chepstow have a 2-4-1 Winter Afternoon Jump Meeting on Friday, February 1.

Tickets are 2-4-1 in advance so if you purchase one ticket for £20, it will allow admission for two. There are seven races on the card.

Single entry tickets are £15 in advance. Children aged 17 and under go free and parking is free.
