With just two matches left to play this season, five sides are still scrapping to preserve their League Two status.
Newport County are joined by Harrogate Town, Barrow, Tranmere Rovers and Crawley Town in the bottom five of the fourth tier - with those five sides separated by just four points.
The Exiles' quest to remain above the drop zone continues on Saturday as they host an Oldham Athletic side no longer in contention for the play-offs following a run of three successive defeats.

It will be the final time this season that Christian Fuchs' men play in front of their own fans at Rodney Parade, and having beaten fellow strugglers Harrogate 2-1 when they last took to the field on their own patch, the former Austria international will know the importance of home advantage only too well.
Crucially, as Fuchs has been keen to stress at numerous stages of what has been yet another arduous campaign for the Amber Army, Newport's destiny is in their own hands.
"Nothing has changed," Fuchs said this week.
"It’s still in our hands. Oldham at home will be a really tough challenge, but that’s the game we focus on now."

He added: "It’s been a long season and now it goes down to the wire.
"We need fresh minds and we’ll try to make sure the players are ready."
Despite their recent struggles, having won just once in their last six league games following a stretch of eight wins in nine, Oldham are having no problems in front of goal.
The Latics have failed to score just twice in their previous 16 League Two fixtures. On the flip side, Newport have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 league outings.

The experience of defensive players including Ryan Delaney and Liam Shephard will be pivotal when it comes to keeping Micky Mellon's side at bay.
That said, there could well be more onus on Newport to perform when they get on the ball.
According to WhoScored.com, the Exiles average 46.7% possession in league matches this season, the fifth-lowest tally in the division.
That figure is only marginally lower than Oldham's average of 47.7%, although the Boundary Park outfit have clearly been far more effective with their use of the ball compared to Newport.
That quite simply has to change this weekend as far as Fuchs' men are concerned.
Regardless of the outcome against Oldham, Newport could well go into their final day clash with Barrow - currently 23rd - knowing a win, or potentially even a draw, could be enough to keep them in the Football League for a 14th successive season.
In the penultimate round of fixtures this weekend, Barrow travel to Cambridge United who are in a strong position to secure automatic promotion into League One, but still need points to get over the line.
Bottom side Harrogate have a tricky trip to Walsall before hosting play-off hopefuls Barnet on the final day.
Elsewhere, Tranmere take on MK Dons and Grimsby Town, currently second and seventh respectively, in their final two games while Crawley face Accrington Stanley and top three chasing Salford City.
That said, the opportunity to potentially seal their fate this weekend and avoid any last-day drama at Barrow is one that should prove too good to turn down.
Newport have the chance to attack a strong but admittedly wounded Oldham side in front of what will likely be a bumper Rodney Parade crowd.
Survival is in their own hands.
With games swiftly running out, the time is now to do the business to achieve their goal.
