Stoke City were reported to be ready to thwart the Swans’ plans following the 23-year-old’s recall from a loan spell in Turkey, as head coach Matos played down the likelihood of an immediate move.
Rak-Sakyi, who had been on loan at Çaykur Rizespor, was brought back by Palace in a decision that has intensified speculation about his next destination, but the Swans believe they are still in the hunt.
Swansea have previously been linked with the winger – who spent last season on loan with Sheffield United - and Matos has acknowledged his admiration for the player, while stopping short of confirming any concrete pursuit.
“No, nothing to add about that,” said Matos when asked directly about Swansea’s interest.

Pressed on whether Rak-Sakyi remained a target, he added: “I think not only for us, I think he's a player of interest of a lot of teams.
"That's why he played last season at Sheffield United. So he's a player who has a lot of things, like I said, that we like, but that doesn't mean anything for the future."
Stoke’s renewed momentum under Mark Robins, including recent league wins and FA Cup progress, has underlined their intent to strengthen, particularly amid speculation surrounding Wales winger Sorba Thomas’ future.

Thomas has been linked with a move to the Premier League to join Bournemouth to help full the void left by Antoine Semenyo’s move to Manchester City.
Swansea’s squad planning this month also looks set to include departures.
Centre-back Ricardo Santos is close to leaving the club after Swansea agreed a fee with Reading for the 30-year-old defender.
Santos has found opportunities limited since arriving on a free transfer from Bolton Wanderers last summer, making just one substitute appearance in a 3-0 defeat at Bristol City in November.

Injuries have hampered Santos’ attempts to force his way into contention, with knee and hip issues disrupting his progress, though he has recently returned to training.
He has been behind Ben Cabango, Cameron Burgess and on-loan West Ham youngster Kaelan Casey in the central defensive pecking order.
Reading, currently ninth in League One and four points outside the play-off places, are now poised to offer him a fresh start.
Swansea are managing further fitness concerns, with on-loan Chelsea defender Ishe Samuels-Smith facing around three weeks on the sidelines due to a groin injury.
