Newport County are among six clubs still in danger of being relegated from League Two.
Manager Graham Westley and his Exiles are bottom, four points from safety with a game in hand, but they are unbeaten in their last six matches.
Westley believes Hartlepool United, where former Cardiff manager Dave Jones is in charge, Accrington Stanley, Notts County, Cheltenham Town and Leyton Orient are still in the relegation battle.
Newport finish their season at home against Notts County, which could be a last day cracker, and face Orient at home next month.
There is no question County are up for the fight and have underlined that over their last six matches.
They have the best defensive record in that run, conceding only three goals and eating a point or more from all of them.
But Newport have only managed to score five goals and that attacking record needs to improve, starting at Cambridge United on Saturday.
Former Derby County defender Mark O’Brien has been outstanding for Newport and manager Westley says: “People can point to Mark as being an absolutely outstanding Championship-level defender and he is.
“His performances have been top drawer and they tell you everything about why he’s played so many Championship games. But the team’s defensive record is about the team.
“We need, clearly, to fine tune what we’re doing going forward, adapt our attacking patterns of play and learn more about each other and gain fluency.”
Sean Rigg is back from injury for Newport, while defender Darren Jones starts a two-match suspension after earning his 10th booking during the goalless draw against Grimsby Town in midweek.
Captain Scot Bennett, though, should be fit to replace Jones.
Westley is delighted with the spirit and character being shown by his players and says: “THey have done fabulously well to recover a difficult situation and build a platform to go forward from.
“They’ve worked phenomenally hard to come together as a group, to adapt and take on board an organisation to play some tough games and come through with something from every game.
“They’ve won a point or more in every game in the last six and huge credit to them. They have been fantastic and I can only see them going from strength to strength.”
“We were 10 points adrift of 19th six games ago and now we’re six points adrift. That’s really good progress.”
