Leaders Barry Town were able to build on their lead at the top of Division One, after comfortably coming away with all three points from their visit at bottom side Risca United.

Luke Cooper headed Barry in front and Paul Morgan doubled their lead shortly before half-time.

TJ Nagi made sure of the points, adding a third, as Barry move four points clear.

Having relinquished their place at the top of the table last week, Goytre were again beaten, this time at the hands of Ton Pentre.

A thrilling opener saw Goytre trail 3-2 at the break before they forced themselves back on level terms on the hour mark.

Ton Pentre’s Liam Reed would then claim his second of the afternoon to once again leave the Monmouthshire side empty-handed and winless in three.

Cambrian & Clydach slipped to fifth in the table following their 3-0 defeat at home to Taff’s Well, who leapfrog them into fourth spot on goal difference.

Caerau (Ely) remain third despite drawing at Port Talbot.

Haverfordwest made it three wins from three on Friday night as they edged past Goytre United 2-1.

Welsh League Division One results: Goytre United 1-2 Haverfordwest County, Cambrian & Clydach 0-3 Taff’s Well, Goytre 3-4 Ton Pentre, Monmouth Town 1-2 Afan Lido, Penybont 5-2 Cwmbran Celtic, Port Talbot 1-1 Caerau (Ely), Risca 0-3 Barry Town, Undy Athletic 3-0 Caldicot Town.
