Paul Clement believes Swansea City fans would be right to celebrate Premier League survival if the club deliver it this weekend. The Swans head coach is taking nothing for granted but if his team win at Sunderland on Saturday and Hull City lose as Crystal Palace a day later, then a seventh season in the top flight will be guaranteed.

Kyle Bartley will return to Swansea City after his successful season-long loan at Leeds United. Bartley played 50 games for Leeds this term and captained the Championship side when skipper Liam Bridcutt was absent. But Swansea head coach Paul Clement has said the Manchester-born central defender will report to Swansea for pre-season training in early July.

Aberdare upset the form book by taking the Worthington Trophy at Sardis Road, Pontypridd, when they lost the lead after 57 minutes, but struck back with four tries in the final quarter of the game. Both sides had won the away matches in Division 2 East Central, but it was Llantrisant who had finished in second place and Aberdare in fourth. The Swans travel to already relegated Sunderland on Saturday with a narrow single point advantage over Hull, who occupy the last remaining Premier League relegation slot to be settled. If truth be told, the overwhelming majority realised they had little choice in the matter. Welsh rugby chief Martyn Phillips has warned there will be no quick fix for the governing body owned Newport Gwent Dragons. The Welsh Rugby Union chief executive insists playing matters will take immediate priority at Rodney Parade, but says it will be two or three years before effective change takes root.
