Young North Wales talent Hatty Morsley has been representing Queen and country at the Youth Sailing World Championships in Sanya, China. The 17-year-old Y Felinheli sailor was one of the 14 British Youth Sailing Team athletes and the total 374 sailors from 60 nations to compete across five days of racing at the Chinese venue.

Welsh golf is celebrating a new global star in 12-year-old Y Pant Comprehensive School pupil Ffion Tynan. The rising star from Ystradowen won the 11-14 title at the IMG Academy Junior World Championships – Florida Challenge, shooting her best score in the final round to win by two shots at the Palm Aire Country Club. The 54-hole individual stroke play competition brought together golfers from nine different nations and Tynan was the only representative from the UK. All players were guaranteed three rounds of golf against some of the best junior players in the world.

Paul Clement wants to reload Swansea City’s forward armoury in a bid to keep them in the Premier League. The Swans manager – whose team could be five points adrift of safety by the time they meet Everton on Monday if other results went against them – has told the clubs owners that front players should be the priority in the January transfer window.
