Bluebirds Spot On In Transfer Strategy Over Zohore And Manga – Warnock Will Strengthen Again

When Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman clinched the signing of Bruno Manga five years ago he told me the Gabon international was the ‘final piece of the Bluebirds’ jigsaw’. Nobody can fault Dalman’s logic because City swept back into Premier League football, but now it is time to build again. London-based Dalman has abandoned any […]

Nicky Grist Stages Move To Builth Wells Proves A Big Hit

The move into the centre of Builth Wells proved a huge success, as Saturday’s Nicky Grist Stages produced a carnival atmosphere and a great sporting occasion – with Euan Thorburn/Paul Beaton winning the event in their Ford Focus WRC to clinch the 2019 Jordan Road Surfacing BTRDA Rally Series title. Whilst the competitive element of the event took place in the famous Mid-Wales forest stages of Crychan, Halfway, Monument and Llyn Login, the Start and Finish ceremonies were held in Groe Park and the Service Area was on the Builth Wells RFC pitch. Thanks to the combined effort of event organisers Quinton Motor Club, Builth Wells Town Council and Powys County Council, the move into town brought a lot of extra trade to the high street and proved to be a big hit.

Fabulous Anglesey Weekend For Historic Sports Car Racers

The Historic Sports Car Club’s inaugural race meeting at the spectacular Anglesey Circuit in North Wales last weekend delivered a fabulous weekend of racing as drivers loved the track and its coastal setting. The first Tom Pryce Memorial Meeting featured 20 races, a total entry of more than 170 cars and a very special tribute to the life of Welsh racing driver Tom Pryce. The weekend also included the first stand-alone races for Formula Atlantic since the 1980s and the whole event was run in warm and sunny conditions. As well as racing, many competitors took time out to enjoy the beaches of Anglesey and the whole weekend ran in a wonderful holiday atmosphere. Such was the overwhelmingly positive response from competitors that the Club is already planning to return.
