Harry Wilson has revealed talks with Jurgen Klopp convinced him he needed another season away from Liverpool and a stint with Cardiff City. The Wales striker – who scored his first goal for the Bluebirds against Bournemouth on Wednesday – has insisted he and the Liverpool manager agreed another loan deal, his fifth, was in his best interests.

Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones will equal the record for most Test appearances when he leads the team against France in Paris on Saturday. The 35-year-old lock will win his 148th cap at the Stade de France in a match which is a warm-up for both countries ahead of the belated completion of the Six Nations.
