Chambers Names Wales Dragonhearts Squad

Wales Dragonhearts coach Paul Chambers has named his squad who will take on London and the South East before travelling to Serbia to play two tests. The 24-man squad, which will be reduced to 21 before going to Serbia, contains players from all around Wales, following the successful community Origin series between representative sides from East, North and West.

Wales Dragonhearts coach Paul Chambers has named his squad who will take on London and the South East before travelling to Serbia to play two tests.

The 24-man squad, which will be reduced to 21 before going to Serbia, contains players from all around Wales, following the successful community Origin series between representative sides from East, North and West.

Their match in London in on September 29th. They then fly to Belgrade the next day for two games against Serbia, on October 3rd and 6th, before returning to London on October 7th.

Wales Dragonhearts are the representative side of community rugby league in Wales. Founded in 1991 and playing their first international match against England in 1994, this side has been a launching pad for many future full Wales internationals such as Jason Lee, David Williams, Aled James, David James, Christiaan Roets, Lee Williams, Elliot Kear, Ashley Bateman, Steve Parry, Gil Dudson and Paul Emanuelli, whilst one former Dragonheart in Richard Hibbard went onto win full caps for Wales in rugby union.
