James Flexing His Muscles For Bright Lights Of Las Vegas

Llanelli-born James “Flex” Lewis is attempting to create another piece of history this weekend as he goes for his seventh consecutive Mr Olympia title. Considered the “world championship” of bodybuilding, Flex has dominated the 212lb class for almost a decade, equalling Arnold Schwarzenegger’s personal record of six consecutive titles in 2017.

Llanelli-born James “Flex” Lewis is attempting to create another piece of history this weekend as he goes for his seventh consecutive Mr Olympia title.

Considered the “world championship” of bodybuilding, Flex has dominated the 212lb class for almost a decade, equalling Arnold Schwarzenegger’s personal record of six consecutive titles in 2017.

This weekend he aims to go one better at the biggest bodybuilding contest of them all, held in Las Vegas.

A proud Welshman, Flex is hoping to bring yet another medal home for his family in South Wales.

Bodybuilder turned actor then governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“Each year the competition gets stronger and tougher,” said Flex. “Every year I’ve had to find ways to be even better than I was before and 2018 has seen me work even harder to try to stay ahead of my competitors.

“This year will be the hardest yet and will be my greatest achievement if I am victorious.”
