Swansea City Ladies hit back from a goal down to beat the female Bluebirds and lift the FAW Women’s Cup.
Alana Murphy fired Cardiff City ahead in the final, while Jodie Passmore equalised from a penalty and Jody Hosford struck a second half winner.
“Cardiff are a counter-attacking team and we concentrated on possession and that proved the key,” Swansea Ladies manager Ian Owen.
“Every player ran miles and did exactly what we asked them to do. They implemented the game-plan really well and ultimately we came out on top.”

Swansea are cup winners, while Cardiff Met have been crowned Orchard Welsh Premier Women’s League Champions.
Met clinched the title with a 1-0 win at Llandudno with Naomi Clipson scoring a fourth minute winner.
Llandudno pushed the visitors all the way and had the ball in the net twice only for both goals to be disallowed.
Met held on and they regained the title from rivals Swansea City.
It has been an excellent season for season for Kerry Harris and her team. The win at Llandudno was their 15th victory in 17 league fixtures and they suffered only one defeat.
Cardiff Met will be playing European football next season, representing Wales in the Uefa Women’s Champions League.
The FAW Women’s Cup final, played at Cardiff City Stadium, was a tight and nervy affair in the first half.
Swansea were the first to go close when Jodie Passmore’s free-kick was saved by Cardiff goalkeeper Ceryn Chamberlain.
Captain Siobhan Walsh then rescued her Cardiff team by blocking a goalbound shot from close range.
Entertainment levels rose during the second half and Cardiff City put themselves in front with a lovely goal.
Shannon Evans made progress down the right and picked out Murphy, who finished well to give the Bluebirds a 1-0 lead after 54 minutes.
The Swans equalised 10 minutes later when they were awarded a penalty and Passmore scored from the spot.
In a hard fought match Swansea sensed that the tide was turning and pressed forward.
The winning goal came when Hosford whipped the ball into Cardiff’s penalty area from wide on the left and the beat flew past Chamberlain at her near post to give the Swans a 2-1 lead.
Despite five minutes of added time and Cardiff pressure, Swansea held on to win the FAW Women’s Cup.
Substitute Emma Beynon had a chance to extend the Swans Ladies’ lead in the final minute but her effort narrowly missed the target.
