Sabri Lamouchi has admitted he still has no idea if he will be Cardiff City manager next season.
The Bluebirds boss ended his agreed spell in charge with a 3-0 defeat away at champions Burnley to bring down the curtain on their Championship season.
For Lamouchi, the campaign has been an unqualified success as he took charge when the club was in the relegation zone, with the brief to keep them up.
He has delivered, but is in the dark over own future at a club whose season was a complete mess when judged in its entirety.
Cardiff went through three managers and only stayed up because Reading had six points deducted for financial irregularities.
Had that penalty not been imposed, Cardiff would be in League One next season.

Lamouchi has said he would like to stay on, but plans to meet with owner Vincent Tan as early as Tuesday to see if the club’s plans match up to his own.
“I want to be professional until the end, even if they change or want another manager,” said Lamouchi.
“My job is to be professional until the end. Today was the end, job done. We are in the Championship next season, so what next?
“I know what I would like to do, so now I need to meet the owner and the chairman.
“The mission was to stay up. We will play in the Championship next season.
“Everything is on the table [over Lamouchi’s future] and we just need to know what the club and the owner [Vincent Tan] want to do.
“But we can be happy, we did our job before we came to Burnley, we wanted to stay up and it is job done.
“Our only mission was to stay in the Championship… so it is an amazing job by the players.
“Cardiff is an attractive place, it’s a big name in UK football and in Wales. We just need to take the right players with the right mentality to understand our plan, to try and play for something different other than relegation.”

Burnley broke through the 100-point mark on the final day of their Championship-winning season thanks to a comfortable win for Vincent Kompany’s team.
The victory featured goals from Josh Brownhill, Scott Twine and Ashley Barnes, the 33-year-old striker making his last appearance for the club after nearly a decade at Turf Moor.
The day marked the end of a wildly successful campaign for Burnley, relegated from the Premier League 12 months ago, who will return there with 101 points, the most in the division since Leicester won the Championship with one more in 2014.

The trophy presentation followed the final whistle as new minority owner JJ Watt, the former American football star, were among those home fans celebrating.
It also capped a productive spell for Burnley ownership who, on Friday, signed Kompany to a new five-year contract.
Chelsea are just one club to have been heavily linked with a move for Kompany, on the back of the former Manchester City captain’s achievements in revitalising Burnley.
They lost just one of their last 26 league games in storming to promotion with seven games still remaining.
