The Roosters are ready to strut their stuff against Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints.
Penrhyncoch Roosters take on TNS in the first JD Welsh Cup third round tie of the weekend at Park Hall on Friday evening (7.45pm).
The Cymru Alliance team defeated newly promoted South Wales Alliance Premier club Caerphilly Athletic 4-2 at Morgan Jones Park in the last round.
Sion James (2), Liam Lewis and Joni Jones scored for Roosters.
TNS manager Scott Ruscoe says: “We won’t be taking anything for granted. It’s a great competition.
“I’ve had success in this competition as a player and now I want to win the Welsh Cup as a manager.”
Admission at Park Hall is £8/£4/£1.
Penybont FC take on Cardiff Met at home in their third round tie on Saturday and manager Rhys Griffiths say: “This is a great tie for us as a club.
“Cardiff Met will be happy that it’s a short trip of them against a team from the league below.
“It’s a chance for my team to test themselves against extremely good opposition. I seen TNS a couple of times and have been impressed with how they go about business.
“But our boys are really motivated. We won against Airbus last season and took Bala, who went on to win the trophy, to extra time.

“Bala won comfortably in extra time, but over the first 90 minutes it was an even match.”
Caernarfon Town are Huws Gray Alliance leaders and their captain, Nathan Craig, and his team are ready to give Barry Town United a hostile reception at the Oval (Sunday, 2.30pm).
S4C Sgorio cameras will televise the tie and Craig says: “Our team is good enough to be in the Welsh Premier League, but we’re not, so we’re the underdogs against Barry.
“But we can match any team on our day and we’re capable of pulling off another shock. We have the heart and the fight to beat them, and nobody can take that from us. The Cofi Army will be our 12th man against Barry.”
Barry won promotion from Welsh League Division One last season and Craig says: “We’re in a similar position this season to where Barry were last year. We were at the same level as them last season and credit to them, they’re doing brilliantly in the Welsh Premier at the moment.
“We will show them respect, but when the day comes, we’ll have worked hard to prepare and we’ll have done all our homework on them.
“They have Kayne McLaggon and he’s physical, quick and can score from anywhere. If we can keep him quiet and play our own game, we’ve got a good chance.”
Two decades ago these clubs contested the Welsh Premier League’s first ever televised match when Barry overturned an early deficit to win 5-2 in front of a 2,746 attendance.
more than 1,000 spectators are expected at the Oval this weekend.
