The Welsh Youth Cup final between Cardiff City and Swansea City will be played on Tuesday, May 1.
The Football Association have not yet confirmed the venue for this under-19 final, but it looks certain to be a fiercely contested match.
The Swans are aiming to win the FAW Youth Cup for a ninth consecutive season and have lifted the trophy a record 17 times since their first triumph in 1950-51.
Cardiff City first lifted the trophy in 1968-69 and have won it 15 times, but did not enter the competition for a number of seasons over the last decade.
Manager Craig Bellamy’s young Bluebirds won 6-0 against Airbus Broughton UK from North Wales in their semi-final at Latham Park, Newtown.
The Swans defeated Connah’s Quay Nomads 4-0, having gone ahead inside five minutes.
Intricate play around the box culminated in a one-two between Liam Cullen and Kieran Evans with the latter curling home a sweetly struck left foot effort from 20 yards.
City piled on the pressure throughout the rest of the first half, but were limited to only two clear cut chances. Goalkeeper Joe Loyden produced a stunning stop on the stroke of half-time after an outstanding move left Oliver Cooper bearing down on goal.
During first half injury time City captain Mael Davies made it 2-0 and the Swans were in control.
Nomads came out after half-time and had chances to reduce the deficit, but couldn’t quite find a way past Swansea stopper Nathan Shepperd, who cut out danger with some clean handling and organised the Swansea backline throughout.
The lively duo of Evans and Cullen again combined on 57 minutes to put the Swans 3-0 up. Evans produced some trickery on the left wing and swung in a pin point cross which Cullen nodded home at the far post.
Swans then kept possession for the majority of the second half to ensure Nomads couldn’t find a way back into the game and on 80 minutes substitute Mason Jones-Thomas strode through the Nomads back line and finished clinically past Loyden to make it 4-0.
The win set-up a final with Cardiff after the Bluebirds’ 6-0 win against Airbus UK Broughton.
