Luke Wall and Yves Zama both scored hat-tricks for Bangor City in their crushing 7-0 JD Sports Welsh Cup victory against Penydarren BGC.
South Wales Alliance club Penydarren suffered their first defeat of 2017-18 in league or cups.
Bangor were clinical with their finishing and moved comfortably into the semi-finals, while Penydarren can reflect with pride on a magnificent cup run.
They were also still in contention at half-time at Nantporth, Bangor when they trailed 2-0 and believed they could stage a recovery.
Bangor added a fourth immediately after half-time and the Welsh Premier League team were on their way.
“They scored a third goal almost before I could blink after half-time,” said Penydarren manager Kerry Mullin.
“But I’m massively proud of the boys in earning a place in the quarter-finals.
“We play in the fifth tier of Welsh football and the first team tobeat us this season are a Premier team who are more than likely going to be playing in Europe next season.
“There is no disgrace in that.
“The boys are gutted, but when they have time to reflect and realise what they have achieved they will be proud of themselves.
“Penydarren supporters are great wherever wego. All I could hear was them singing. They were brilliant.
“Our priority this season is earning promotion to Welsh League football. Then we will be able to progress over the next few seasons.”
The Welsh Cup semi-final draw will be made this evening and Bangor are the only team through to the last four.
There were three ties scheduled for Saturday and all of them were postponed.
Bangor scored twice in the first half with Steven Hewitt (11 minutes) and Wall (23) scoring.
In the second half Bangor added to their tally thanks to goals from Zama (47, 69 and 90), Wall (50 and 82).
Wall’s first came he fired a fierce, swerving shot into the far corner off his left foot, while Hewitt stabbed home after George Harry’s shot was parried by goalkeeper Jonathan Green.
Big centre-forward Zama headed in from an accurate Tom Kennedy cross after a flowing Bangor passing move before Wall curled another quality strike into the top corner.
Zama made it 5-0 when he scored from 12 yards. While Kennedy’s crossfield pass allowed Wall to complete his treble.
The seventh goal came from a last minute penalty when young debutant Gethin Thomas was fouled and Zama scored from the resulting penalty.

New date for postponed Welsh Cup quarter-finals is Tuesday, March 6.
The three matches are Connahs Quay Nomads v The New Saints, Llandudno v Newtown, Carmarthen Town v Aberystwyth Town.
Welsh Trophy semi-finals (to be played on Saturday, March 10): Greenfield FC v Rhos Aelwyd (tie to be played at Airbus Broughton, 2.30pm); Penydarren BGC v Conwy Borough (tie to be played at Park Avenue, Aberystwyth, 2.30pm).
Welsh Youth Cup semi-finals (ties to be played on Sunday, March 18, both at same neutral venue): Connahs Quay Nomads v Swansea City (12.30pm); Airbus Broughton v Cardiff City(3.30pm).
