Aaron Ramsey has issued an emotional farewell message to supporters following his exit from Cardiff City.
The 34-year-old's contract with the Bluebirds expires at the end of this month, although it had been mooted that Ramsey could extend his stay with his boyhood club.
Having taken charge of Cardiff on an interim basis for the final three matches of the 2024-25 Championship campaign following the sacking of Omer Riza, Ramsey was touted as a potential future permanent boss for the club.
But shortly before the appointment of Brian Barry-Murphy as head coach, Cardiff confirmed Ramsey was leaving the club as a free agent.
And Ramsey has taken to social media to thank the Bluebirds faithful following his latest stint with the club.
"I leave Cardiff City with a lot of different emotions," he wrote.
"Although it has been personally challenging at times, I made sure to give my all on and off the pitch for this wonderful club that is so close to my heart.
"For now I am on a new adventure but I will be keeping a close eye on the club as always and it will forever have my support.
"Good luck to the staff and all the players for the upcoming season and a big thank you to the amazing fans!
"Until next time, Aaron."

The midfielder is continuing to recover from a hamstring injury, although he is expected to join Mexican side Pumas.
Ramsey has long stated his desire to lead Wales at the 2026 World Cup - which will be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
He is yet to play in any of Wales' four qualifying matches for the tournament due to injury, although he did feature in the Nations League against Turkey and Montenegro in Craig Bellamy's first two matches as head coach of his country last September.
