Elfyn Evans produced a battling display on the opening day of the season ending Rally Australia. The Dolgellau-born flier – competing for the first time since his maiden WRC win on Wales Rally GB earlier in November – finished in 10th spot.

Rally star Elfyn Evans rewrote the sporting history books by winning the 2017 Dayinsure Wales Rally GB. The 28-year-old from Dolgellau not only scored his maiden WRC victory but also became the first Welsh driver ever to win a round of the illustrious FIA World Rally Championship.
