Andrew Selby Aims To Come Back With A Bang On Saturday Night

Andrew Selby returns to the ring this weekend as a man in a hurry, determined to make up for lost time. The Welsh flyweight and one-time world title prospect wants to put a year’s inactivity behind him when he takes on Tanzania’s Adam Yahaya on Saturday night at the Newport Centre, live on S4C. Selby looked to be firmly on his way to a world title challenge in record time before the death of his mother, a court appearance, and the temporary suspension of his licence made it a wretched 12 months.

Ospreys Turn To Teenage Harri For Hit Up At The Brewery

The Ospreys have turned to teenager Harri Morgan and hope he will be inspired before his home town crowd when they host Connacht at Bridgend on Friday night. It will be the 18-year-old’s first full game after he made debut off the bench in the defeat to Worcester Warriors last week. That was in the European Challenge Cup, so the Connacht clash will also be a Guinness Pro 14 first appearance for Morgan at the Brewery Field, when he began his career with the Ravens.

No More Doubts . . . Gareth Anscombe Should Finally Be A Dead Cert For Wales

It’s been a long time coming, but the prospect of Gareth Anscombe finally becoming the first choice Wales No.10 has never looked closer. Four years since he left New Zealand, the full benefits of that Welsh-born mother should finally pay off, says Harri Morgan. It’s possible to experience a certain joy when watching a maligned investment transition into a dead set winner. There is a sense of deep satisfaction derived not only from the validation of an ability to recognise strong fundamentals, but also from an outcome that vindicates all that patience and trust.
