Reynolds-Cotterill was on a visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to support the campaign to host the FIH Hockey Men’s World Cup 2026. With less than 50 days to go until the International Hockey Federation (FIH) make their decision on the where to host the tournament, the Great Britain international joined over 20 other Wales and England players at the state-of-the-art stadium where both the semi-finals and the final would be played, to get a glimpse of what it might be like to walk out there in four years’ time.

Liam Williams is facing a battle to be fit in time for next year’s Six Nations after being ruled out for a period of 16 to 20 weeks. The Wales full-back has undergone surgery on the broken collarbone he suffered playing for Cardiff against Munster last weekend. His club have now issued a medial update which states that the 31-year-old will be sidelined until next January while he recovers.

The Welsh teenagers both won gold for Great Britain in Wollongong to underline their huge potential Backstedt completed the 14.1km course in a blistering time of 18:26.78, a full 1:35.58 minutes ahead of the silver medal winner, Germany’s Justyna Czapla.

Josh Adams wants Cardiff to set a minimum target of the United Rugby Championship play-offs after helping them get away to a flier. Adams was part of the side that beat Munster 20-13 at the weekend in their league opener to give coach Dai Young plenty of encouragement for the campaign ahead. “The play-offs certainly should be a target, and with the quality of the squad we’ve got there’s no reason why we can’t achieve that but when you start a new season you always look to better your last,” said Adams.

Wales has been selected to host the first FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) event, which will see some of the globe’s best off-road motorcycle racers compete at the Principality Stadium on Saturday October 8. The Australian-based WSX promoter, SX Global, has chosen the Cardiff venue for round one of the inaugural WSX series, ensuring that the famous Principality Stadium will go down in supercross history. The ultimate dirt battlefield will see 10 teams and 40 of the world’s best riders compete for the £200,000 cash prize fund and international supremacy over a specially constructed rollercoaster course on the floor of the Principality Stadium.
