“TNS Are Gone, TNS Are This, TNS Are That . . . No, We’re Not” Says Scott Ruscoe

Scott Ruscoe has rubbished suggestions that the TNS empire is crumbling after they lost two JD Welsh Premier League games in a row before responding with a win at Jenner Park at the weekend. The New Saints manager reacted forcefully to claims the champions are on the wane after his team had showed their power by winning 2-0 at in-form Barry Town. “You get people talking about TNS are gone, TNS are this, TNS are that. I have been at this club since 2002 and I have lost count of how many trophies I have won,” said Ruscoe.

Much Momodou About Nothing-Nothing . . . Until Hip, Hip Touray!

Momodou Touray scored the goal that reminded The New Saints they look like having a proper Welsh Premier League title challenge on their hands. Touray – Barry’s 19-year-old Gambia-born striker – was responsible for the only goal of them game as his side won 1-0 away at Bala Town on Saturday. Not only did the strike end Bala’s 100 per cent home record this season, but it meant The New Saints’ lead at the top is now just a single point from two clubs.
