Sam Warburton Says Wales Have Five Credible Choices To Replace Him At No.7

Sam Warburton believes the depth Wales have at openside flanker is such that as many as five players could take possession of his No.7 shirt. The former Cardiff Blues back rower – who opted to retire this summer – reckons Warren Gatland has choices to replace him who would be the envy of most international teams. While England and Eddie Jones struggle for just one option in the No.7 jersey, his Wales counterpart Gatland has an embarrassment of riches at his disposal.

Hugh Morris Predicts Glamorgan Revival Could Take Years . . . And Then Some

Hugh Morris has suggested it could take over a decade for Glamorgan to turn their fortunes around after another woeful season. The Welsh county actually finished their Championship campaign with a victory over Leicestershire on Wednesday, but their chief executive and director of cricket admits it was scant consolation following a campaign that would rival any for recurring failure on the field. Glamorgan won just two out of 14 matches in the County Championship Division Two and finished bottom of the pile.

Company 03419514 And The Problem Of Welsh Rugby’s Food Chain

The Welsh Rugby Union’s recent accounts paint a picture of increasing revenues and falling debt. So what to do with the cash in a members’ organisation. Geraint Powell recognises that some mouths need more feeding than others, but says the solution is an orderly queue. Who owns company 03419514, otherwise known as The Welsh Rugby Union Ltd? It is a question which invariably induces panic when asked, for somebody must own it in the absence of a post-property rights end stage Marxist utopia in South Wales!
