Cardiff Met’s Jordan Lam has admitted going out of the Europa League was “heartbreaking” after the students were agonisingly edged out by Progrès Niederkorn on Thursday night. Cardiff Met University 2- 1 Progrès Niederkorn (2-2 on aggregate, Progres go through on away goals) The Progres penalty box represented a scene from the Alamo as Cardiff Met tried to batter their way to Europa League glory in the final, frantic five minutes at Leckwith Stadium. The students must have thought they were in dream land when Jordan Lam scored within two minutes of the start of the second leg against the Luxembourg side to level the tie at 1-1. Cardiff Blues Are 21 Days From Being Wound Up Over Unpaid Debts To Cardiff Athletic Club

The future of Cardiff Blues is at severe risk after the Welsh side was issued with a statutory demand for non-payment of more than £200,000 in rent for their Cardiff Arms Park home.  The Guinness PRO14 side haven’t paid rent to landlords Cardiff Athletic Club for 12 months and, despite regular promises of clearing their debt, missed another deadline this week. They now have 21 days to pay in full or risk being wound up.
