Sam Warburton has chosen to leave the Wales coaching set-up and will be replaced by Gethin Jenkins. Former Wales and Lions captain Warburton has only been working as a technical coach under head coach Wayne Pivac – specialising in the breakdown area – for 11 months, but has opted to stand down to concentrate on other commitments. His role is to be taken by Jenkins, who moved into coaching with the Cardiff Blues two years ago, but who will now move up to assist with the national squad instead on a full-time basis.
